Set up EU-Router (EUrouter)
AdminEUrouter is a European, OpenAI-compatible gateway that routes requests to 100+ models with EU data residency. The twist: the EU data location depends on a routing rule you create at the provider and store in CompanyWizard as a body field. Whether EUrouter fits your situation is the job of the provider selection guide; this page only covers the setup.
Step 1 — create a key and routing rule at EUrouter
Section titled “Step 1 — create a key and routing rule at EUrouter”- Sign up at EUrouter and create an API key under Dashboard → Keys (format
eur_…). The full key is shown only once — copy it immediately. - Create a routing rule and give it a name (e.g.
EU Compliance). This rule decides which EU providers requests are routed to. Details in the EUrouter documentation.
You will need the rule name in CompanyWizard next — it is the value that makes each request EU-compliant.
Step 2 — store it in CompanyWizard
Section titled “Step 2 — store it in CompanyWizard”EUrouter has no dedicated catalog card; you add it as an OpenAI-compatible provider:
- Administration → Models → + New provider.
- Set Type to OpenAI (OpenAI-compatible) and enter the EUrouter base URL as the Endpoint:
https://api.eurouter.ai/api/v1. - Enter the API key from step 1 as the key.
The specialty: routing rule as a body field
Section titled “The specialty: routing rule as a body field”Only for OpenAI-compatible providers does the provider editor show the Custom request fields section. That is where you enter the routing rule:
- Under Body fields, click + Add field.
- Name:
rule_name— Value: the rule name from step 1 (e.g.EU Compliance).
CompanyWizard appends this field to the body of every chat request — exactly what EUrouter expects to route EU-compliantly. Then Test connection and apply the models.
