Create and apply a prompt template
UserInstead of retyping proven phrasings every time, save them once as a prompt template — with placeholders for the parts that change from case to case. When you apply it in the chat, you only fill in the blanks.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open the prompt library — via the Prompt library menu item. On the left you see My Prompts (your own) and Company Prompts (provided company-wide, read-only).
- Create a template — under My Prompts, create a template and fill in the form on the right:
- Title — how you’ll recognize the template.
- Category — e.g. Writing, Analysis, Code, Translation.
- Content — the prompt text itself. Mark variable spots with the placeholder syntax
{{name}}, e.g.Draft a reply to {{customer}} about {{topic}}.
- Save — the template now appears under My Prompts.
- Apply in the chat — select the template. If it contains placeholders, a dialog opens to fill them in; the finished text then lands in the chat input.
- Send — adjust if needed and send with Enter.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Placeholders use the syntax
{{name}}(e.g.{{date}}). You can use any number per template; placeholders with the same name are asked for once. - Company Prompts are maintained company-wide by administrators — you can apply them but not edit them.
- Your own Prompts are stored per user and available in web and desktop.
- Not to be confused with the system prompt (Administration), which flows invisibly into every chat.
