Personal Memory: settings & purge

Admin

Personal Memory has no dedicated admin tab. Its administration is spread across two places: the settings in the System settings and the per-user purge in user management. The concept behind it is explained in Personal Memory — concept & privacy.

Settings (System settings → Personal Memory)

Section titled “Settings (System settings → Personal Memory)”

In the Personal Memory section of the System settings:

  • Enable Personal Memory (master switch) – main toggle for the feature, default: on. With it off, neither the memory nor the users’ profile reaches the chat.
  • Automatic capture – autonomous capture via the memory tool.
  • Token budgets – total as well as separate budgets for the agent, user, and memory share.
  • Min. entries for consolidation and max. memory calls per response.
  • Agent identity template (Markdown).
  • Manage triggers – jump link to the seeded Memory Consolidator agent.

In the edit area of a user (the User management tab) there is a Delete Personal Memory action. It is protected by a confirmation requiring you to type the email address and removes for that user:

  • all memory entries,
  • the memory-related PII audit entries,
  • that user’s Memory Consolidator agent runs,
  • the memory folder on disk.

The result reports the number of deleted entries. There is deliberately no global “delete all” action — deletion is always per-user.

  • Both require the Administrator role.
  • The deletion is permanent.
