Admin tab: System prompt

Admin

The Administration → System Prompt tab defines the global base instruction that CompanyWizard prepends to every chat — e.g. role, tone, general rules and guardrails. The tab holds two text fields, both applying system-wide: the system prompt for chat and the Image Enhancement Prompt for the image generator. Each field has its own Save button.

The system prompt sits at the start of every chat instruction. Directly after it, CompanyWizard appends — where present — the details from the user’s profile (“Assistant persona” and “About you”) and their personal memory. The app’s built-in rules follow after that, for example on skills, the knowledge base and source citations.

Agents do not use this system prompt: each agent has its own, maintained in agent management. The AI steps in workflows also work with their own framing.

If you save the field empty, CompanyWizard falls back to the bundled default prompt.

The second field does not govern chat, but the enhancement step of the image generator: “This prompt instructs the text LLM how to enhance user image prompts before image generation. How attached reference images are to be read (a style example or a binding template, such as a CAD view) is also defined here. Saving the field empty restores the default prompt.”

  • Effect — applies as soon as a user triggers Enhance Prompt. It determines by which rules a description becomes an image prompt; it does not act on image rendering itself. Generate Directly and Refine run without an enhancement step and do not read this prompt.
  • Reach — company-wide. That makes it the central lever for a consistent image style across all users.
  • Default — an English-language “expert image prompt engineer” prompt ships out of the box. It can be replaced entirely, for example to encode corporate design requirements. A field saved empty falls back to this default.
  • Reference images — how attached reference images are to be read is decided by this prompt alone. CompanyWizard only tells the text model how many images are attached and that they also go to the image model directly. The default prompt reads them as a style example: it takes style, subject and composition as a model, but does not have the images copied. A custom prompt has to define the reading itself. If, say, a joinery’s CAD preview is to become a photorealistic image, it needs a sentence like this: “The reference image is the binding construction template; proportions, perspective, joint pattern and appliance positions are preserved.” This reading only applies to Enhance Prompt; with Generate Directly the reference images go to the image model without it.
