Export a response as PowerPoint
UserA chat answer can be saved not only as Word or PDF but also as a PowerPoint presentation (.pptx) — optionally in your organization’s company template and with AI-cut slides.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open Export — hover over the answer and click Export in the answer toolbar.
- Choose a format — select PowerPoint (.pptx).
- Polish (optional) — as with the Word export, you can review and adjust the text beforehand in the Content tab.
- Add metadata — title, version and confidentiality level for the cover slide.
- Export — the presentation is generated and downloaded.
The procedure matches the Word/PDF export — the difference is what becomes of the Markdown.
How the answer turns into slides
Section titled “How the answer turns into slides”Without the AI outline, CompanyWizard cuts the slides by fixed rules along the structure of your answer:
| In the Markdown | On the slide |
|---|---|
# (top-level heading) | its own section-divider slide |
## / ### | a new content slide, the heading becomes the slide title |
#### and deeper | a bullet point on the content slide |
| body text, lists | wrap onto follow-on slides when they don’t fit on one slide |
| tables, images | usually get a slide of their own |
| Mermaid diagrams, charts | are embedded as an image, as in the Word export |
The “Let the AI outline the slides” option
Section titled “The “Let the AI outline the slides” option”Only with the PowerPoint format does the checkbox “Let the AI outline the slides” appear. When it is ticked, the language model cuts the slides instead of the fixed rules — this helps in particular with long answers without headings, which the rules would otherwise turn into a few overcrowded slides.
Two things to know about it:
- It costs one model call. The outline is produced by an additional request to the model.
- It cannot fail. If the model returns nothing usable, the rule-based deck is produced silently. The export therefore never fails.
- PII protection applies here too. When it is active, the text is pseudonymized before the model call and translated back in the finished presentation. → The PII shield
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Company layout: If your Administration has stored a PowerPoint template, the export automatically appears in the corporate design. → Store a PowerPoint template
- The export never fails. Even with a missing or unreadable template a presentation is produced — just in the neutral default design. A deck in the default design is therefore not a bug but the fallback when the template cannot be used.
